Apply an adequate amount from mid-shaft to ends on wet, shampooed hair. Depending on your thickness and length, you want an amount that fully coats the hair.
Work anything that's left through roots and the crown.
Then, run a wide-tooth comb from roots to ends to distribute evenly and detangle. This method is the safest way to detangle hair without causing breakage (the conditioning treatment adds a protective barrier).
Leave on for at least 1-2 minutes. For salon-treatment hydration, leave on for 20 minutes under a shower cap.
Then, rinse well (you want your hair to be residue-free).
